I haven't read this series, but I love the t.v show! The season finale was fantastic and it's been a great way to pass the time till True Blood's return next month. I am wondering if I should read the books. After Twilight I swore I'd not do YA any more. I found it just wasn't satisfying me enough. Especially if you love PNR and suspense novels.
I don't really talk about tv shows too often on this blog, but Friday we watched the final episode ever of Smallville

I have not read any of TVD books, but I LOVE the show. A friend of mine read them and said the tv show is much better --and has gone off the storyline of the books. She and I share our book & tv taste so I'm taking her word for it.

I think the books are pretty different. I read them as a teen and liked them, but rereading them as an adult, they fell a little flat for me. If you aren't a big YA fan to start with, I'd say leave the books be and just enjoy the TV version
ReplyDeleteI love The Vampire Diaries and I am also wondering about reading the books. I haven't watched a lot of Smallwille, though, I just wasn't able to find the time, although I like Superman series or films.
