Teaser Tuesday (June 8th)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Covet (Fallen Angels, Book 1)Covet

Paperback 496 pgs.

My Teaser -

Upstairs, he paused at the top of the stairwell.  With both hands he took off the wig and smoothed his hair so that it lay flat.

Pg. 244

Hhhhmmm, why is he wearing a wig?  Does he like to dress as a woman, is he in disguise, up to no good?  Who is it anyway?  I'll have to keep reading to find out....

So far so good.  I'm liking it.  The characters are interesting, and I want to know more about the lead, Jim Heron.  For me, if an author makes you want to know more about his or her characters they usually are good writers, and their books are going to be good as well.

  3. I didn't do the background I got it free from the pyzam.com and I had to fix it by asking it to repeat as lots got hid behind the wrappers.
I don't think it would be to hard to do. Unfortunately they make you have the bright orange liner at the top. I have been doing art on photoshop and pagemaker (now InDesign) since about 1990. Before WIndows came along I was learning to be a killer programmer. BUt then I stopped because it was really boring to look at code all day.

Email me back at the steph@fangswandsandfairydust.com -- easier to respond.
