A Wonderful Surprise!

My handsome hubby did something so very wonderful for me!  I really wanted to go to comic-con in San Diego.  It's only about 2 hrs away, but I didn't think of it and the tickets sold out *sniffle*.  I also did something very stupid, I was going to go to Charlaine Harris's book signing in Los Angeles in May with my dd Desirae, and the 2 of us messed up our dates and missed it!  Can you believe that?!  Well, my hubs friend and co-worker goes every year with his sons, and my wonderful hubby all on his own, I never even thought of it, asked him to take my Dead In The Family and have Miss Charlaine sign it!!!  I got it back yesterday and I'm so very happy.  Here's pics of the book -

He is just the best and spoils me rotten, and while I know my reading, blogging, and scrapbooking drive him batty sometimes, he always thinks of me.  He's always doing wonderful things for me, he designed my rating system for my blog, the cannolis are courtesy of his awesome graphic art talents! I love him to death and am the luckiest girl!

  1. Seriously, that really is some hubby! I mean, really! The fact that he would get a book signed for you would be my dream come true. My hubby'd rather throw all my books away... lucky!!!

Oh, and how do I check out that reading activity? I was looking for it, but I can't find it. Can you send me the link?

  2. The group reading activity that goes through the 27th.

I read in the closet AFTER he goes to sleep :D Yeah, he likes it when I go to bed with him too, but then I don't wake up at 3:50 a.m. every morning like he does so I'm not really tired at 9:00 p.m. LOL! So, I sneak out of bed and into the closet. I'm a nerd! :D But, with kids and work it's like my only ME time.

  4. wow! so sweet of him! a lucky lucky woman!

my husband is very supportive of my addiction to books but one time when both my kids were sick, he asked me if i could THROW AWAY or BURN my vampire books, because somebody told him these kind of books can give bad vibes to houses especially with kids!

I can't believe he asked me that! but anyway, i did it for only a few days (brought my books in the office) and then all is forgotten! :)

oh btw, i havent read Dead in the Family! I love Sookie's books but my excitement died because i read in the reviews that this book isn't that good?
